Safety Services Coordinator - Content Section 1 (ID:163)

The Safety Services Coordinator is responsible for overall Model implementation including fidelity, supervision of staff, gathering program data, accept and disseminate referrals, liaison with the State.  The Program Coordinator will have a Master's degree in a human service field, as well as a P/LMHP with the state of Nebraska.  In addition the coordinator will have at least four years of supervisory experience working with at-risk children and families.     Starting pay is $43K.

  • Provide direct supervision to Team Leaders, Family Facilitators, and Family Mentors.
  • Provide ancillary supervision to QM, UM, and AA staff.
  • Provide/assure that weekly supervision is being provided to all employees involved within the program; enforce all job descriptions and PSM/EM policies and procedures; ensure appropriate and professional service provision/on-call coverage at all times.     
  • Report weekly program statistics with 100% accuracy.
  • Collaborative oversight of the subcontractors with the In-Home Services Coordinator to include but not limited to: providing ongoing support, interfacing and problem solving, assigning cases and following up on them, problem solving coverage issues and addressing concerns.
  • Ensure services provided adhere to the fidelity of the chosen EBP/PP models.
  • Conduct field observations randomly.
  • Maintain a standard of 100% productivity throughout the workday.
  • Assure the completion of outcome measurement tools on all new intakes and discharges, as well as throughout the life of a case as needed.
  • Ensure that coverage for all functions of service provision is provided within the guidelines of the referrals and according to State contracts, Nebraska Medicaid, and/or Managed Care Medicaid handbooks.
  • Maintain licensing/current contracts with funding and referral entities: Medicaid Managed Care, Nebraska Health and Human Services, Medicare, third party insurance companies, Region VI, etc.
  • Problem-solve crisis issues in an effective and efficient manner; staff all clinical issues with Clinical Director immediately upon report of a crisis situation. 
  • Consistently assess the foundation/specialized service training and modify curriculum when necessary.  Communicate/implement these changes among all office locations.
  • Communicate needs of clients to appropriate members of his/her/their family team, case manager, GAL, group/foster home staff, biological parents, etc. (after ensuring that the necessary releases of information are in place). 
  • Ensure staff and subcontractor adherence to contract.
  • Follow all directives within time frame provided and/or seek pre-approval for extensions to tasks assigned.
  • Assign referrals/clients to staff designated within the program on an equitable, individualized basis to ensure a proper match of special needs, strengths and level of experience of staff. 
  • Consistently review Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plan and make sure that all it is being carried out within the program on a daily basis by all employees. 
  • Ensure that Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards are maintained throughout the program. 
  • Implement creative recruiting, networking and marketing techniques to keep program viable and within established standards set forth by administration and the Council on Accreditation (COA).
