RLT Coordinator - Content Section 1 (ID:147)

The RLT Coordinator requires an individual to possess a bachelors degree in social work or related field as well as experience working with at risk children and families. The Chief Operating Officer will assign duties which may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop unique and creative training methods for foster parent retention. 
  • Oversee all aspects of training and development of foster parents/care. 
  • Identify and secure an ongoing population of potential foster parents to participate in and complete the necessary training (on an on-going basis).    
  • Identify appropriate avenues of recruitment for potential new foster parents and implement various recruitment techniques to identify and secure appropriate potential foster homes. 
  • Research and contact various community based organizations to determine if there is an available population of individuals from which to recruit.
  • Identify various community based publications from which to recruit and provide community based publications with the necessary information to publish in seeking potential foster parents. 
  • Actively screen foster parents for appropriateness and secure their placement in training classes. 
  • Adhere to the State of Nebraska Foster Parent Training model (PRIDE) in the primary teachings to the potential foster parents.
  • Provide a minimum of twenty-eight (28) hours of training for licensure purposes.
  • Provide approximately twenty-one (21) hours of additional training for the purpose of training the foster parents in specialized expectations and techniques for treatment level services?to include becoming MANDT, CPR and first aid trained. 
  • Provide the potential foster parents with information and exercises relevant to the special behaviors and needs of the children placed in Treatment Foster Care.
  • Coordinating and facilitating ongoing support and training sessions for foster parents who are already licensed with Visinet. 
  • Collaborating with other Treatment Foster Care team members to schedule and plan various activities for the foster parents and children.
  • Responsible for completing internal assessments of foster parents as assigned by a foster care coordinator.
  • Consistently review Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plan and make sure that all it is being carried out within the program on a daily basis by all employees. 
  • Ensure that Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards are maintained throughout the program. 

The average starting salary for the RLT Coordinator is $34,000.  Additional compensation may be applicable based upon educational and professional experience. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits outlined in the Employee Manual.
