Psychological Assistant- Content Section 1 (ID:136)
This service requires that candidates have be a licensed psychological assistant or mental health license in the State of Nebraska or a Ph.D in the state of Nebraska with a background in testing. Additionally, the psychological assistant must be an authorized Medicaid and Magellan Behavioral Health provider.
This position has the responsibility of carrying out all duties assigned by the Director of Operations of Behavioral Health Services. The service requires therapists with a wide range of experience to assist clients in an individual, family or a group setting. In addition to the expectations outlined in the Employee Manual job duties include the following:

Maintain Clinical licensing and current contracts with funding and referral entities: Medicaid Managed Care, Nebraska Health and Human Services, Medicare, third party insurance companies etc.
- Complete Comprehensive Family Assessment.
- Complete Comprehensive Child/Adolescent Assessments.
- Perform comprehensive psychological evaluations to include clinical interviewing and assessments of intelligence, personality, and social-emotional functioning.
- Obtain collateral information from previous treatment providers, educational providers, the juvenile probation department, and the Office of Juvenile Services.
- Provide clinical impressions for the referred client with appropriate treatment and placement recommendations based on the client?s specific needs.
- Staff cases with the clinical director prior to completing the report.
- Submit completed evaluation reports to the referring agency that include assessment results, clinical summary, and recommendations.
Adhere to the emergency protocol (found in the Employee Manual) in the event that a client or individual associated with the client discloses abuse/neglect information.
Schedule all appointments in a timely manner.
Complete all directives within established time frames and/or seek pre-approval for extensions to assigned tasks as needed.
Maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality with client(s) and families, as well as with all team members involved in a particular case.
Adhere to the strict confidentiality policies indicated in the Employee Manual, as well as all of the other policies and procedures.
Complete 12 hours of Mandt training
Complete CPR training or recertification for CPR training.
Pay and Benefits
The beginning pay rate for this position is negotiable based on experience and education. The benefits for a full-time individual in this position are outlined in the Employee Manual.
