Parent Coach - Content Section 1 (ID:137) According to the Nebraska Health and Human Services, candidates must have a minimum of two years of college credit in social work or a related field, or have two years of related human service experience. In addition, the candidate must complete Visinet, Inc. Foundation and Program Specific Training.
This position has the responsibility of carrying out all duties assigned by the State Services Coordinator and Director of Operations. The following are the primary responsibilites of the FSW position
- Contact all parties within twenty-four (24) hours after receiving a new referral.
- Collaborate with clients and foster parents in coordinating a consistent weekly visitation schedule between child(ren) and family member(s) identified on referral.
- Transport children (only) identified on a respective referral from their placement(s) to the visit/session location.
- Assist the client/family in obtaining the goals identified by the referral source and illustrated on the case/service plans (referrals).
- Remain within the guidelines of the referral at all times, as well as, within the required authorization period and number of hours allocated to the client/family.
- Implement and utilize resources during all sessions (family support and Parent Partnering only) which relate to the identified goals on the client/family case plan.
- Utilize the identified curriculum (STEP) when providing Parent Partnering education.
- Coordinate and facilitate in-house Parent Partnering classes and groups as assigned.
- Maintain a strengths-based approach while working with client(s) and families to assist in the retention of dignity and the development of positive intrinsic qualities.
- Adhere to the emergency protocol (found in the Employee Manual) in the event that a client or individual associated with the client discloses abuse/neglect information.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality with client(s) and families, as well as, with all team members involved on a particular case.
- Adhere to the strict confidentiality policies indicated in the Employee Manual, as well as, all of the other policies and procedures.
- Consistently review Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plan and make sure that all it is being carried out within the program on a daily basis.
- Ensure that Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards are maintained throughout the program.
The average starting pay rate for this position is $11.00/hour. Additional compensation may be applicable based upon educational and professional experience. The benefits for this position are outlined in the Employee Manual.
