HR/CQI Specialist

Job Qualifications

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in a Human Resources related area preferred.  A minimum of  two years experience working in an office environment.

This position has the responsibility of carrying out all duties assigned by the HR/CQI Director concerning services. This position provides guidance and assistance to all staff. The following are examples of duties included within this position:

  • Assist in all HR/CQI functions as requested by the HR/CQI Director.
  • Printing of newsletters and memos as requested within the established timeline.
  • Complete yearly audit on employee files.
  • Review all aggregate information as directed by the HR/CQI Director.
  • Maintain the on-site COA notebook.
  • Maintain scheduled hours and inform direct supervisor of a modification in these regular hours.
  • Maintain accurate and updated personnel records on all staff members to include but not limited to the following: 
    • Gathering two (2) forms of identification (one (1) of which must be a driver?s license).
    • Proof of car insurance.
    • Obtain driving record on all employees. 
    • Ascertain that W-4 and I-9 documents are completed. 
    • Complete the adult, child registry, and sexual offender checks on all employees and place in the respective file.
    • Perform applicable criminal background check on all employees. 
    • Facilitate staff in obtaining Visinet, Inc. identification badge.
    • Gather miscellaneous certificates (CPR, TACT, MANDT, Education Certificates, College Degrees, in-service documents, etc.).
  • Oversee the personnel file database data entry.   
  • Process payroll by the fifth (5th) day after each respective billing day, adhere to the following guidelines: double check the accuracy of time sheets and daily logs to ensure a match of direct contact hours, record any earned overtime, record and track PTO, complete income and employment verifications, garnishments, transcribe information accurately and submit completed payroll to administration on time as directed.
  • Discuss payroll issues with Visinet accountant as directed by the HR/CQI Director
  • Bring incomplete payroll issues to the attention of the correct coordinator.
  • Update Base computation trackers bi-weekly and within 48-hours of receiving these documents.    
  • Provide coverage for the receptionist and adhere to the protocol set forth in that job description. 
  • Pre-screen potential employees when a position needs to be filled.
  • Adhere to the strict confidentiality policies indicated in the Employee Manual, as well as, all other policies and procedures.     
  • Assist in the development of new techniques and methods to improve efficiency and efficacy of HR/CQI operations.
  • Participate in special projects and meet deadlines as assigned by upper administration.  
  • Track all hourly PTO of employees and relay status of these amounts to ensure that staff doesn?t exceed accrued limits. 
  • Complete CADs within designated time frame set forth by Director of Operations. 
  • Maintain an accurate database of those who are eligible for benefits. Meet with staff to discuss benefit package as necessary.
  • Provide the FTEs for the Director of Operations.
  • Consistently review Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plan and make sure that all it is being carried out within the agency on a daily basis by all employees. 
  • Ensure that Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards are maintained throughout the agency. 
  • Complete 8 hours of Mandt training
  • Complete CPR training or recertification for CPR training.

 

The beginning pay rate for this position is $11.00 per hour. Additional compensation may be applicable based upon educational and professional experience. Full time benefits for an individual in this position are outlined in the Employee Manual.
