FLC Specialist - Content Section 1 (ID:182)
Candidates must have a minimum of three years of human service experience for consideration, preferred Bachelor's or Associate's degree with experience in human services or related field. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age. FLC Coordinator is the direct supervisor
Job Requirements:
Knowledge and application of basic youth care principles in a residential environment.
Knowledge and application of therapeutic techniques in a residential environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build a working relationship with client/families and professional individuals.
Willingness to work non-traditional work schedules; including weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as needed or requested.
Respect for diversity and understanding of at-risk families.
Review youth progress and discuss any concerns with FLC Coordinator.
Must report to Coordinator two hours prior to scheduled shift, along with making attempts to cover scheduled shifts with other FLC staff.
Attend required in-service meetings to obtain required amount per employment (15) per calendar year.
Attend monthly meetings with FLC coordinator to discuss any issues or concerns that may be happening at the center.
Attend MANDT training and renew certification yearly.
Attend CPR/First Aide training and renew certification as needed.
Complete daily progress note that will be maintained in client file.
Document on daily progress note specific activities that youth participated in and how youth handled themselves during this activity.
Complete a monthly time management plan and submit to the FLC coordinator upon turning in time logs. (Any changes in this schedule should be reported to the FLC coordinator).
Complete medication form for each youth when a new medication is brought into the FLC that is not already documented upon intake.
Follow Service Plans for all youth.
Complete collateral logs for every contact regarding a youth as needed.
Complete incident reports and submit to the FLC coordinator within twenty-four (24) (business) hours after the incident.
Complete payroll timesheets accurately and submit to the FLC coordinator by the requested deadline.
Complete all necessary assessments and outcome measures, as dictated by program, within time frames outlined in the Program Specific Manual.
Activities with this FLC youth should directly correlate to the goals and objectives from the individualized Service Plan of each youth.
Direct supervision at all times of youth.
Conduct individual sessions with families/youth (address needs of the family, offer resources, and supervise family meetings).
Remaining awake at all times regardless of shift or activity.
Determine based on the interactions throughout the day, the level of learning a child has achieved on targeted goals and objectives and address further concerns with FLC coordinator.
Administer prescribed medication per parent/guardian request while youth is in residential care at the FLC.
Establish a working relationship and rapport with FLC youth/guardian.
Assist in maintaining the child in his/her placement at the FLC.
Assist the youth/guardian in obtaining the identified goals.
Consistently review Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plan and make sure that all it is being carried out within the program on a daily basis by all employees.
Ensure that Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards are maintained throughout the program.
Provide planned interventions (i.e. teaching, coaching, practicing, role-playing, affirmation, etc.) based on the FLC PSM.
Maintain a strengths-based approach while working with youth and guardians to assist in the retention of dignity and the development of positive intrinsic qualities.
Provide the necessary outcome measures? information to the FLC coordinator and Chief Operating Officer.
Adhere to the emergency protocol (found in the Employee Manual) in the event that a client or individual associated with the client discloses abuse/neglect information.
Maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality with client(s) and families, as well as, with all team members involved on a particular case.
Adhere to the strict confidentiality policies indicated in the Employee Manual, as well as, all of the other policies and procedures.
Attend training and certification in de-escalation and restraint techniques.
Maintain a standard of 100% productivity throughout the workday.
Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned by FLC coordinator as they arise.
Collaborate with other professionals such as therapists, teachers, and case manager to see that the youth?s individual needs are being met.
Contact the FLC coordinator in the event of a crisis regarding a client or individual associated with the client (regardless of the outcome the coordinator is required to be notified).
The starting hourly range is $12.02/hr for this position .
