Family Assistant - Content Section 1 (ID:161)
FAMILY ASSISTANT: The Family Assistant will have a minimum of an AA degree in a human services field with at least two years of experience working with at-risk children and faimiles. If no Associate's degree, must have three years experience working with at-risk children and families.
- Contact all parties within twenty-four (24) hours after receiving a new referral or within time frame dictated by the program/referral.
- Support to the Family Partner.
- Provide a variety of services to include: In-Home Safety, Visitation/Supervision, Transprotation, Electronic Monitoring/Global Positioning System, Tracker, and Drug Screening and Testing.
- Collaborate with clients, other team members, and foster parents (if applicable) in coordinating a consistent weekly schedule between child(ren) and family member(s) identified on referral.
- Assist the client/family in obtaining the goals identified by the referral source and illustrated on the case plans (referrals).
- Remain within the chosen EBP/PP models.
- Adhere to family centered practice.
- Responsible for the successful outcomes of children and families as well as accept the penalization of negative outcomes.
- Responsible for providing In-Home Safety Services, Visitation/Supervision, Transportation, Electronic Monitoring/Global Positioning System Services, Tracker Services and Drug screening/Testing Services.
- Develop in conjunction with your supervisor creative interventions while addressing established goals with the ultimate goal of reunification and stabilization.
- Remain within the guidelines of the referral at all times, as well as, within the required authorization period and number of hours allocated to the client/family.
- Maintain a strengths-based approach while working with client(s) and families to assist in the retention of dignity and the development of positive intrinsic qualities.
- Adhere to the emergency protocol (found in the Employee Manual) in the event that a client or individual associated with the client discloses abuse/neglect information.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality with client(s) and families, as well as, with all team members involved on a particular case.
- Adhere to the strict confidentiality policies indicated in the Employee Manual, as well as, all of the other policies and procedures.
- Consistently review Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plan and make sure that all it is being carried out within the program on a daily basis.
- Ensure that Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards are maintained throughout the program.
Starting pay is $12.02 hr/$25K.
