Escort Supervisor
Job Qualifications
A candidate for the position of Escort Supervisor must possess a bachelor's degree in social work or a related field as well as at least 2 years experience working with at risk children and families. The Escort/Tranpsortation Coordinator will assign duties which may include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure requirements for escort staff are being maintained such as: appropriate insurance, Public Service Commission (PSC) plates affixed on vehicles, using Visinet, Inc. magnets, and ascertain that lease contracts are in the vehicles at all times.
- Facilitate weekly face to face supervision for escort personnel and provide efficient, effective supervision.
- Supervise and direct escort staff accordingly.
- Ensure all cases are assigned in an efficient and timely manner.
- Delegate necessary tasks to the escort staff to maintain a high level of service delivery to clientele and to ascertain that coverage of all cases is completed.
- Request additional authorization in the event of an expired authorization.
- Coverage of cases when necessary.
- Supervise a FS/VS caseload of 3:1 when necessary and conduct the necessary field observations of one to four (1-4)/week depending on the number of employees within group.
- Maintain supervision of full time equivalent escort employees on a twelve to fifteen to one (12-15:1) ratio.
- Maintain knowledge of escort contracts to ascertain they are up to date at all times.
- Enforce the escort job descriptions and Visinet, Inc.'s Employee Manual.
- Initiate disciplinary action for escort staff when a violation of the Employee Manual ensues or when a verified complaint is made regarding tardiness, etc.
- Ensure escort staff are billing correctly by randomly checking mileage.
- Problem solve crisis situations in an effective and timely manner.
- Provide crisis management between employees, foster parents/caretakers/biological parents, schools, daycares, referral sources, etc. as necessary.
- Participate in the interview process as requested by the State Services Coordinator.
- Participate in the disciplinary action/termination of employees.
- Provide training to employees.
- Assess appropriateness of on-going service training and modify curriculum when necessary.
- Enforce annual in-service obligations for all staff.
- Complete 8 hours of Mandt training
- Complete CPR training or recertification for CPR training.
- Conduct monthly Medicaid eligibility checks on all clients to ensure the funding of cases is current.
- Make every effort to accept and assign all cases in a timely manner, remain generally organized at all times.
The average starting salary for this position is $27,000.00. Additional compensation may be applicable based upon educational and professional experience. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits as outlined in the Employee Manual.
