Definition?
Escort/Transportation services are offered to eligible participants in order to get them to appointments, school, and visitations with family members or prospective placements, assist the current foster parents in balancing the special needs of the youth, or any other request that is within the contract guidelines.
Emergency escort services can be sought through the Nebraska Health and Human Services (NHHS)/Protection and Safety Hotline Staff to assist youth in getting to necessary placements. These referrals are typically received shortly after allegations of abuse/neglect have been made against their caretakers that warranted police intervention.

What are the criteria?
The individual(s) requiring the escort/transportation must be involved with NHHS/ICCU for the case manager to authorize the service.
Payment?
Services can begin once an authorization is sent to the Visinet, Inc. office containing valid dates of service.
