Director of Out of Home Care - Content Section 1 (ID:183)
To fill the position of Director of Out of Home Care, qualified candidates will posses a Master's Degree, license preferred. The Director of Out of Home Care is supervised by the Chief Operating Officer which may include but are not limited to the following duties:
- Meet weekly with Chief Operating Officer.
- Meet weekly with coordinators in all three regions.
- Oversee all levels of fostercare statewide.
- Responsible for supervising fostercare coordinators/program statewide.
- Delegate necessary tasks to coordinators statewide.
- Determine foster parent reimbursement rates based on a standardized pay scale and inform Chief Operating Officer.
- Assure coverage for all Foster Care program employees as needed.
- Assure licensing with the appropriate entities (State of Nebraska) and compliance with Nebraska Medicaid and other funding sources as appropriate.
- Obtain and maintain contract information and keep the contracts/Medicaid numbers current at all times (including agency based step down contract.)
- Enforce all staff's job descriptions and Visinet, Inc.'s Employee Manual and initiate appropriate discipline when necessary.
- Provide crisis management between Foster Care staff and foster parents as necessary.
- Problem solve crisis situations in an efficient and effective manner.
- Consult regarding all terminations of employees.
- Collaborate with Clinical Director on all clinical issues related to clients and the clinical service provision performed by staff.
- Coordinate training of employees and provide on-going training as necessary.
- Enforce accountability among staff and foster parents, and adherence to the Employee Manual (for staff) as well as following the emergency protocol for suicide/homicide, abuse/neglect and other potential safety issues.
- Communicate needs of client to the consulting psychiatrist as well as assisting with the necessary documentation to schedule new and on-going patients with the consulting psychiatrist.
- Complete 8 hours of Mandt training
- Complete CPR training or recertification for CPR training.
- Enforce compliance with Nebraska Medicaid and retain knowledge of Chapter 32 of the Mental Health and Substance Abuse manual at all times.
- Conduct Medicaid eligibility checks on all clients at the beginning of every month.
The average starting salary for this position is $46,000. Additional compensation may be applicable based upon educational and professional experience. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits as outlined in the Employee Manual.
