Community Treatment Aide Supervisor (CTA) Supervisor
Job Qualifications
Candidates will be licensed mental heath practitioners in the State of Nebraska or provisionally licensed. Additionally, the CTA supevisor must be an authorized Medicaid and Magellan Behavioral Health provider.
This position has the responsibility of carrying out all duties assigned by an executive director concerning the Community Treatment Aide program. This position provides guidance and assistance to all CTA staff. The following are examples of duties included within this position:
- Provide primary back-up to the CTA Coordinator.
- Responsible for the supervision of CTA's and maintaining a full time equivalent ratio of eight to twelve (8-12) to one (1).
- Mandate accountability from the CTA's and enforce the Employee Manual.
- Obtain the initial authorization and reauthorizations from the funding source and ascertain that these authorizations are strictly followed.
- Contact all members of the treatment team within 24 hours of assigning a CTA referral.
- Assist the CTA with creative and appropriate interventions to aide the client in obtaining the goals identified on their treatment plan.
- Ensure that sessions are conducted which integrate activities and interventions consistent with the identified treatment plan and the Axis I diagnosis.
- Gather necessary information from the CTA to develop baseline data and provide to the CTA Coordinator and the clinical director as requested.
- Ensure the implementation and utilization of client resources during CTA sessions which relate to the identified goals on the treatment plan.
- Ensure that all of the documentation required to initiate services is in the client file and remains up to date per Nebraska Medicaid guidelines.
- Assist the CTA Coordinator in a quarterly review of all CTA files.
- Maintain a strengths-based approach while working with client(s) and families to assist in the retention of dignity and the development of positive intrinsic qualities.
- Adhere to the emergency protocol (found in the employee manual) in the event that a client or individual associated with the client discloses abuse/neglect information.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries with CTA's, as well as with all team members involved in a particular case.
- Adhere to the strict confidentiality policies indicated in the Employee Manual as well as all of the other policies and procedures. (A client must have a signed release of information in their file.)
- Complete 8 hours of Mandt training
- Complete CPR training or recertification for CPR training.
- Provide crisis management between CTA's and CTA clients as necessary.
- Problem-solve issues as they arise in an effective and appropriate manner (billing issues, staff issues, client issues, complaints, etc.)
The average starting pay rate for this position is $30,000. Additional compensation may be applicable based upon educational and professional experience. Full time benefits for an individual in this position are outlined in the Employee Manual.
